"What are "bedbugs"?

"Bedbugs" are small wingless, flat, brown insects which are found worldwide and usually make their home in bedding, luggage and other items that are being transported or moved. Their only source of food is the blood of warm-blooded mammals. Residential Life & Housing at the University of Houston has not typically had any problems with these types of insects in our student housing facilities. If you suspect that there may be a problem, please submit a Service Request online at Fix-it, or call 713-743-6060, option 5. Additional information is available at Harvard University School of Public Health or University of Kentucky College of Agriculture.
