Laundry

Laundry.  Each community has its own laundry facility.  Laundry machines will only accept the Cougar1Card for payment.  The cost is 75¢ per load (wash or dry).  Tokens and currency are not accepted.  VTS (Value Transfer Stations) are available in each complex to deposit money to your Cougar1Card.

To use the laundry machines, your Cougar1Card must have the debit account activated.  You must go to the Cougar1Card office in the UC and sign an agreement to activate it.  You may then use the VTS to deposit money into that account.  Your card will then be ready to use in the laundry room.

You may want to activate a washing machine before you add any cleaning products.  In the event that a machine malfunctions, please submit a Service Request and include the machine number and laundry facility.

How do I use the Cougar1Card to wash my clothes?

The Cougar1Card account must first be activated at the Cougar1Card office.  You can then deposit funds into your card using the VTS machines around campus.  At the laundry facility, select the machine you wish to use and swipe your card when prompted.  The machine will be ready for you to select the mode of operation.  Make sure your clothes are loaded before selecting the mode.

Meal plan funds may not be used to wash clothes.

Moody Towers has laundry facilities located on the 18th floor of both towers and also in the North Tower ground floor.
